Team One Martial Arts
Youth Brazilian Jiu-JItsu (BJJ) program (ages
10-15) channels a child's natural enthusiasm for the Martial Arts, developing
the self-esteem, confidence and self-discipline that parents know will
benefit them. Our instructors are not only skilled in
motivating children to achieve their full potential in the martial arts
but at home and at school as well. We do not train children like a
drill sergeant would, we
assist them to develop to their full potential. Classes consist on
warm-ups, basic self-defense, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction and
drills. For youth looking for MMA Classes, our Jiu-Jitsu classes
also train NO-GI grappling and have MMA training days to complete our
well rounded BJJ program.
Why
should my child learn Functional Martial Arts? Why not traditional
Karate, Tae Kwon Do, or Kung Fu? FIND
OUT HERE!
Our youth martial arts program uses incremental
and progressively increasing challenges in complexity, intensity, and
unpredictability to provide the child with positive feedback and
"errorless learning." Our approach does not consist of
katas, forms, and military style drill sergeant battle calls... the
children learn effective self-defense while having fun in a positive environment.
Some people like the traditional styles, but we do not teach that way
and why should we? We compete against those 'traditional' schools
and defeat them time and time again. The winning team must be
doing something right... in Jiu-Jitsu our kids have one first place, two
second place, and one third place medal competing at the NAGA Midwest
Championships and C3! Did we mention we only had 3 compete at NAGA
and one at C3? :)
